A beautiful tattoo deserves proper care. At Lethal Ink Tattoo Pattaya, we’re committed to ensuring your tattoo heals perfectly in Thailand’s tropical climate.
How to Care for Your New Tattoo
Proper aftercare keeps your tattoo vibrant and your skin healthy. Follow these steps carefully for the best results:
1. Do not wrap your tattoo if possible
We recommend leaving your tattoo unwrapped after your session to allow the skin to breathe naturally. Covering it unnecessarily can trap moisture and slow healing.
2. Keep it clean – but dry
Do not apply creams, lotions, or soap for the first 3 days after getting your tattoo.
Gently rinse with clean water if needed, but avoid any soaps or products during this period.
3. Moisturize lightly after 3 days
After the first 3 days, begin applying a very thin layer of moisturizer or organic healing cream 2–3 times daily. Avoid heavy or scented lotions — they can clog pores and affect color healing.
4. Avoid sun and water
For at least 2 weeks, avoid direct sunlight, swimming pools, and saunas.
Sun exposure can fade fresh ink, and submerging the tattoo can cause infection or pigment loss.
5. Don’t pick or scratch
As your tattoo heals, it may peel or itch slightly — this is normal.
Do not scratch or peel it, as this can pull out ink and cause uneven healing.
Healing Time & Touch-Ups
Every tattoo heals differently, but most will settle within 2–3 weeks. At Lethal Ink Tattoo, all clients are entitled to one free touch-up within six months, covering natural healing variations at no additional cost.
Lethal Ink Approved Aftercare Kits
We stock studio-approved aftercare kits for every client. These kits include gentle, organic products specifically formulated for tattoo recovery — ideal for Pattaya’s warm, humid environment. Your artist will provide one during your session and explain exactly how to use it for best results.

Frequently Asked Questions
Tattoo aftercare is most critical during the first 7–14 days, when the skin is healing and most vulnerable. Full healing can take several weeks depending on tattoo size, placement, and individual skin response. Following proper aftercare during this period helps protect the final result.
Swimming should be avoided during the initial healing phase. Pools, oceans, hot tubs, and saunas increase the risk of infection and can interfere with proper healing. Avoid swimming until the tattoo is fully healed.
Not following aftercare instructions can lead to infection, excessive scabbing, color loss, or uneven healing. In some cases, improper aftercare can permanently affect how the tattoo looks once healed.
Fresh tattoos should be kept out of direct sunlight during healing. Even after healing, sun exposure can cause fading over time. Using proper sun protection helps preserve color and detail.

Yes. Touch-ups are intended to address natural healing variations, not damage caused by improper aftercare. Following aftercare instructions is important to ensure eligibility for any included touch-up sessions.
